BCA Regular Course – Academic Structure & Evaluation Scheme

The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) – Regular Course at Asian Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) is conducted strictly in accordance with the curriculum, examination scheme, and academic regulations prescribed by Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University, Patna, and in compliance with AICTE academic norms and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework.
The BCA program is divided into three academic parts: BCA Part-I, Part-II, and Part-III, with theory papers, practical papers, and project work as prescribed by the university.
BCA Part – I : Course Structure
Theory Papers

- Each theory paper carries:
- University Evaluation: 80 Marks
- Internal Assessment: 20 Marks
- Total per Theory Paper: 100 Marks
Practical Papers

- Practical / Laboratory Evaluation: 100 Marks

- Project work is mandatory for successful completion of the BCA degree and is conducted as per university guidelines.
Academic & Discipline Guidelines (AICTE & University Guideline)
- Internal Assessment (Assignments) is compulsory for all papers.
- After completion of the full syllabus of each academic year, students must appear in the Sent-Up Test as prescribed by the University.
- Submission of Internal Assessment (Assignments) and Project Work within the stipulated time is mandatory for eligibility in University examinations
- All theory, practical, and project papers are compulsory as per university regulations.
- Students must secure minimum attendance and internal assessment marks to be eligible for university examinations.
- Practical classes, laboratory work, and project submission are conducted as per AICTE norms to ensure skill development and industry readiness.
- Parents/Guardians are advised to regularly monitor attendance, internal assessment performance, and examination notifications.

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) – Regular Course at Asian Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) is conducted strictly in accordance with the curriculum, examination scheme, and academic regulations prescribed by Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University, Patna, and in compliance with AICTE academic norms and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles.

(Bachelor of Library & Information Science – One Year Degree Course)
The Department of Library & Information Science at Asian Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) offers the Bachelor of Library & Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc.), a one-year degree certificate course designed to prepare students for professional roles in libraries, information centers, and knowledge organizations.
The academic program is conducted strictly in accordance with the curriculum, examination scheme, and academic regulations prescribed by Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University, Patna, and follows approved academic norms.

Mandatory Requirements
- Practical papers and project work are compulsory for the successful completion of the B.Lib.I.Sc. degree.
- Students must complete all practical exercises, project submission, and viva/assessment as prescribed by the university.
- The project work is intended to enhance professional skills, practical knowledge, and field exposure, and is mandatory after graduation.
Guidelines for Students & Parents
- Regular attendance in theory classes, practical sessions, and project guidance is mandatory.
- Students must submit assignments, practical records, and project reports within the prescribed deadlines.
- Parents/Guardians are advised to monitor academic progress, attendance, and examination notifications issued by the department and the institute.
